FOOD POST... An Afternoon at Fig & Olive..and a great place for Mothers Day

Paella Del Mar.  Fig & Olive West Hollywood

The return of Stuff She Likes food!  It has definitely been a while since I've posted food.. And oh how I missed it.  Restaurant tastings are
one of may favorite past times here on Stuff She Likes.. but lately fashion and beauty have been taking the reins  and I could not think of a better entree back into food than Fig & Olive.

I first experienced fig & olive when they opened a little over a year ago and have been wanting to share the love with you guys ever since..And because the amazing folks over at Fig & Olive so generously shared their new summer menu with me and my girls Grasie and Amelia.. I in return share the love with you.

Lets chat food shall we!

It was five courses of deliciousness

Fig and Olive debuted their new summer menu last week and in true Fig & Olive fashion.. It was incredible from beginning to end.

Walking into the restaurant you're instantly transported to another place.  A serene, beautifully lit oasis of trees and comfort that few restaurant seem to get right.

Sky the beauty of the food itself lend for a great experience.

We started with an Olive oil tasting.. and cucumber cocktails that paved the way for the amazingness that would soon join us at the table.

Course 1:  The the Crostini.. Perfectly prepared and devoured in 2 minutes!

Course 2:  Truffle Mushroom Croquette, Tuna Crudo and Fig & Gorgonzola tartlet.  All delicious.  If you love tuna crudo this is the place to go.. some of the best I have had.

Course 3:  The pasta...  Zucchini Blossom & Goat Cheese Ravioli.  This a a perfect summer dish for anyone who wants pasta but wants to keep it light.

After indulging in Appetizers, pasta, crostini and another cucumber cocktail we moved on to entrees.

Course 4:  Paella Del Mar ( also pictured above).  A great mix of seafood and beautifully seasoned rice served in a hot pan.   Salmon with Grilled Radicchio.  Crisped to perfection and served on a bed of cauliflower mascarpone puree.  YUM!
Despite not being able to breathe.. me moved right along

Course 5: Créme Brulee Cheese Cake and Warm Chocolate Soufflé..  A perfect end to a perfect meal!
Along with great food.. Fig & Olive sells 30 varieties of their signature house extra virgin  Olive oil.
Are you dying to go yet??

I have to say that Grasie, Amelia and I had a great time..  Thanks so much to Fig and Olive for a superb afternoon.

P.S. Fig & Olive also has a location in New Port Beach and several locations in New York.
