There are those days when you wake up feeling adventurous.. there are those days when you wake up feeling elegant and simple and there are those days when you want to channel the energy of one of the greatest... and for me this was one of those days. I woke up feeling all inspired by the Great Whitney Houston a la the How will I know video. Big curly hair and a big bow.. so very eighties.. so very Whitney.
I rarely write food posts that are about food I make. I will say that although I am not too shabby in the kitchen.. my on the go lifestyle doesn't allow for a whole lot of time to cook elaborate meals.. or to even cook at all. So most of my recipes consist of meals that can be made in about 15 minutes or less.
I've been making this tuna recipe for years. I never really understood the tuna recipes that had all the mayonnaise and eggs mixed in. Don't get me wrong, I am a mayo type of gal. I just don't want it in my tuna. And after years of not really eating tuna. I decided to take matters into my own hands. Literally.

Impromptu trips to the Big Apple are the trips that make that city so much fun for us Angelino's that don't have the privilege of perusing New York every single day. Last week I got to explore the city through the windows of the CB2 loft.
This week has been a whirlwind. I was given the amazing opportunity to fly to NYC to live in the CB2 Pinterest loft for the week. So my sincere apologies for the lack of blog posts this week.. I've been here working, shooting, and generally having a blast.
Riding out to the desert is a luxury that I as an L.A. native have been partaking in since I was a wee kid. My mom had a time share there when I was little and we have had a family home there for the last 10+ years. But I have to say riding out to the desert to hang with awesome bloggers babes & flamingo's all while dawning beautiful L Space swimwear is definitely one of my all time desert highlights.
As the temps rise there will be those days where getting dressed in any type of creative or cute manor will seem like the last thing on earth you want to even think about much less do. Those days where you just don't want to think right? Believe me.. I get it.. I absolutely crave and love fashion and I still have those times where I just want to throw on some ratty old sweats and and an old tee shirt and call it a day.
I am always on the hunt for new hair products. My hair tends to get sick of the same routine after about a year so finding new shampoos, conditioners and styling aids are essential to maintaining my tresses.
Whether you go natural, chemically straight or just get a weekly blow out, no style you choose will be at it's best unless your strands are at their best. So I thought I would share some of the products that are in my summer bathroom cabinet rotation.
I had a whole other post planned for today.. but I woke up to a text from my bestie Mr. Courtney K. with the most amazing little video that we did during my last trip to NYC. I had no idea what I was getting myself into..but knowing Courtney the way I know him I knew it would be fabulous!
Thus post plans where quickly changed. I mean how could I not!..
Okay before diving in to this post.. I am super excited to reveal that Video Diaries are back. It's been over a
year since I posted an outfit Video Diary. With me being sick last year
and having very little energy most of the time, video's had to take a
back seat. Well I am happy to day they are back.. and ere is the first
Los Angeles is the mecca of amazing restaurants.. I absolutely love
this city for the huge amount of variety hat is readily available at a
dinners fingertips at any given moment. Like seriously all in one day
and with not much travel time involved you can go from a good old greasy
breakfast to a vegan healthy lunch to a beautiful and skillfully
planned high end dinner with some of the best chefs on the planet. I
also adore that you can choose to spend $50 bucks or $500 bucks and
still find what you want.. That's exactly what I found when I had a
little glorious visit with Faith and Flower.
Yesterday (see here) was all about taking your Coachella dress from the festival to everyday. Today is all about taking your Coachella dress from the festival to "Date Night". Since Spring is upon us and the afternoon light reigns well into the evening, a clever date night will involve a bit of afternoon daylight leading into the night.
Your beautiful Coachella Maxi shan't go to waist...
So it's been a couple weeks since we all returned from the surreal world of Coachella with its flower crowns, painted faces, fringe booties and chalked hair. ...And every year we all face the dilemma of what the hec to do with that oh so very specific Coachella wardrobe. I for one hate to see a good dress go to waist.. So I partnered up with Lulu's to show you how to:
